We all know that exercise is good for us. But what does that mean?
When I hear the word EXERCISE all I can think of is sweaty folks huffing and puffing in endless lines on the treadmill. And that's fine . . . for them!
But essentially any activity that raises our heart rate a bit counts as exercise. And by good for us I mean it improves our hearts, our lungs, our brains, our bones, our mental health and even our guts! What pill can do that?
I am a huge believer in getting maximum gain for minimum effort. That's why I always try to look at the science and work out what is going to work best for an individual, taking into account not just their current circumstances but also their previous experiences, how much time and effort they want to commit and what they want to achieve.
Small changes can add up to a big result - without once having to wear lycra!
