Whilst many prefer a one to one option this 6 week course is both more affordable and allows you to tap into the support of your course mates.
It is suitable for ANYONE!
But is especially useful for those that suffer from health problems including, but not limited to: Type 2 diabetes, High blood pressure, High cholesterol, Obesity, Heart disease, Liver dysfunction aka fatty liver aka non-alcoholic liver disease, Metabolic syndrome, Heavy or painful periods, Endometriosis, Polycystic ovaries, Fertility issues including recurrent miscarriage, Menopause symptoms, Osteoporosis, Depression, Anxiety, Stress, Insomnia, Irritable bowel syndrome, Recurrent infections, Chronic pain conditions eg fibromyalgia and arthritis and Functional medical problems - this is a catch all term for conditions where your doctor can't make a diagnosis but you continue to suffer, sometimes extreme, symptoms
During their perimenopause and menopause many women struggle significantly with the impact hot flushes have on their lives. HRT may be an option for lots of women but for some, either due to their medical history or their personal preferences, it is not. Group CBT has been shown in several studies to enable women to effectively manage their flushes and associated sleep problems in a supportive, hormone free way. I intend to run these 6 week courses several times throughout the year as demand requires. Each session lasts approximately an hour and a half. If you are interested please email me via the contact us page indicating which times (day, evening, weekend) might be most suitable and I will let you know when a course is available. Unlike the nutrition course which benefits from a larger group this course is kept purposely small, there will only ever be a maximum of six people on the course at any one time.
